Drug helps AIDS patients

An experimental drug has been used to restore some immune response in blood cells taken from patients with AIDS. The drug, isoprinosine, apparently stimulates the ability of blood cells to produce Interleukin II, described as a mediator in the body’s immune system. — Sydney Morning Herald, 26 August 1983, p 5.
