AIDS suspect claims he was denied treatment

The Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW is investigating a claim that a homosexual who suspected he had AIDS was denied emergency medical treatment. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, claims are also being made that a group of eastern suburbs dentists have also refused to see gay clients over fear of AIDS, and gay men seeking treatment in hospital are being automatically labelled as AIDS suspects. — Sydney Morning Herald, 14 July 1983, p 2.
