Hospital gets $84,000 for AIDS research

The NSW Government has given $84,000 to Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital to fund a research project into AIDS. The Minister for Health, Mr Brereton, said the main aim of the project was to determine whether there were AIDS carriers in Sydney’s homosexual community. — The Australian, 21 July 1983 (also in the Sydney Morning Herald).
