MJA apologises for AIDS cover

The Medical Journal of Australia has printed a series of letters critical of its cover story on AIDS published in June, and an apology from the Editor:

“It would be very difficult to sensationalize AIDS to a greater extent than has the popular press, and it was the problem of this type of media overreaction that we had hoped to convey to our readers with our cover. There was no intention of the Journal itself passing a moral judgment, and we regret the misapprehension of our motives.”
