AIDS Watch October 1983

As Campaign goes to press Australia’s second person with AIDS is lying in Melbourne’s St Vincent’s Hospital, critically ill. Like the man who died in Melbourne earlier this year, the man is gay and has recently been in the United States. Despite the fact that health authorities have had at least two years warning they are still woefully ill-prepared to cope with AIDS and the crucial issues of dealing with homosexuality and homosexual males. — Campaign Australia, October 1983, p 19.
